Air Force Jr ROTC* Career Pathway (IB)
Strengthen your character, learn about personal responsibility and most importantly, become a leader - confident, self-reliant and self-disciplined. Students will explore the wide world of aerospace and the significance of our aerospace achievements through a combination of science, social science, technical course work and interactive training in drill courses and elements of leadership. Although the Aerospace Science and Leadership Education program is not a basic military training course, it will develop and reinforce cadets’ perspectives of personal integrity, discipline, self-reliance and patriotism.
The mission of AFJROTC is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community. The goal of the program is to instill in high school cadets the values of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment. The JROTC program will educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character and self-discipline and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.
The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, the development of flight, applied flight sciences, military aerospace policies and space exploration.
